The project director said: "We intend to organize the first Green Games according to the same standards as the London 2012 Olympic Games. Ghanaian Standards Authority, in collaboration with the Ghana Chamber of Events , have adopted GS ISO 20121: 2012 sustainability management systems – requirements that we will use in all facets of the Games.
"We also plan to plant 500,000 plants over five years to commemorate the Games. we will provide 500,000 bins for the Games and more: honor the Green Nation of the Games. "
