April 15 – Foxconn President Terry Gou said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited the expansion. Most Apple phones are manufactured by Foxconn in China. But this initiative could benefit both Foxconn and Apple. The workforce will be cheaper for Foxconn and Apple will have access to a growing market.
