'Arrow' Recap Season 7 Episode 18: Does Katie Cassidy Go Back?

The following contains revelations from this week's episode of The CW's Arrow.

This week's episode inspired by Birds of Prey saw the return of Earth-Two Laurel into a criminal life after working hard to emulate his terrified doppelgänger from Earth-One and pretending to be the Star City attorney. The sudden turnaround and the SCPD-ordered manhunt for the offending murderer sparked fierce dissension between Felicity – one of Laurel's champions – and Dinah, who became at best "enemies" with the woman who last season was forced to kill his boyfriend Vincent.

Felicity remained firm in her determination to believe in Laurel's derailed bow of redemption and had even recruited Laurel's (and formerly Canary's) real sister Sara Lance to help her prepare for Black Siren. Sara herself had some skin in the game, wanting to make sure that Laurel's real name was not dragged into the mud. Shadow Thief wanted bigger fish, but wondered if Black Siren was really back and as bad as ever.

When Felicity and Dinah nearly blew a trap, even the first one was asked if she supported the bad canary. Dinah argued that Laurel had never asked for their help, to which Felicity responded in the negative, perhaps more than she had understood. But it was just too late.

In enumerating her transgressions, she said, "Even a person with a past as damned as mine can change his life," adding, "Redemption is not a destination, it's a journey." Laurel however maintained, "It's too late, because that's who I am."

When Felicity, Dinah and Sara followed Laurel and Shadow Thief until their next flight, Felicity told her friend, "I see someone I believe in and I want to," adding that Laurel should continue the redemption not to restore or live. to someone else's inheritance, but because she he wants it. Moments later, Laurel rescued the ladies from Shadow Thief, sniffing her cohort: "The deal is canceled." The leather-leather ladies then clashed with the Shadow Thief gunmen, before unleashing the bomb Shadow Thief had wanted to steal. . "We're pretty tough," Sara said later. "Yeah," Felicity agreed. "Like" birds of justice ". Or something like that.

After the foursome grilled "ladies taking ladies," Laurel said she was tired of running and that it was time for her to "go home now" to right some wrongs on Earth-Two. Before leaving, Felicity presented Laurel with her old suit. Maybe Earth-Two needs a Black Canary?

All that apparently the second release of the CW series, Katie Cbadidy Rodgers, member of the original cast. But do not let the doppelgänger fool you.

"Katie does not leave the show; Beth Schwartz secured TVLine earlier this month at the Writers Guild Foundation's 2019 WGFestival [she leaves], But this is not true. She is always [part of the show]. "

Elsewhere in the episode:

* In tracking down the last trace of the murderer of Emiko's mother, Oliver and Diggle came face to face with Bear of the Longbow Hunters, who made them understand that all roads lead to Dante. Oliver thinks that Emiko could break her ties with the ninth circle if she found out that her mentor had embarked on that path by proposing her mother herself.

* In future history, the stop of the Galaxy One bombs only served to set in motion their more ambitious plan, with the sending of what I will call masked Archer Enforcers. Their mission: to beat all the usurpers, especially Canaries. Mia challenged Dinah's advice to lower herself and not prepare for the fight, throwing herself solo in the streets and being beaten by one of the centurions. His bacon, however, was saved by a sonic cry – issued by an old Laurel like Black Canary. (With report from Vlada Gelman)
