Barcelona won 1-0 in the first leg at Old Trafford. However, United has frustrated the Barca for long periods in Manchester.
Ronaldinho thinks the first goal will be decisive for the return leg.
He thinks that if United can get the first goal of Camp Nou, Barca fans will start to be nervous and will be able to turn on their side.
"The truth is that Barcelona should have ended the match in Manchester," the Brazilian told the Daily Star.
"But at 1-0, Manchester United will always believe that's in this tie.
"If Barcelona score the goal, the night will be long for Manchester United.
"But if they (United) can score the first goal, it will make the stadium nervous – and you never know what can happen next."
United's boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, believes his team can replicate the magic that helped to close the two-goal deficit against Paris St-Germain in the previous round.
"It will have helped us as a team," said Solskjaer.
"We know we can change things.
"The Barca here at Camp Nou is a tough prospect, but this night will live with the players.
"It was a short time ago and our goal is better. [than we were then]. "
Ronaldinho, who won the Champions League with Barca in 2005/06, supports his former team to qualify for the semi-finals.
