Rogi also congratulated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for their efforts to improve the lot of the country.

For his part, Cheikh Quaye congratulated the ambbadador on his appointment and informed him of the successes achieved by PAOG over the years, especially under the government in power.

At the same time, PAOG has begun seizing biometric data for the country's pilgrims traveling to Mecca this year.

Some of the key data to capture include fingerprints and digital images for facial recognition. The requirements for the exercise are a biometric pbadport with an expiration date of at least six months and a proof of full payment of the Hajj tariff for 2019, rising to 19,500 GH.

The 16 regions have been grouped into three zones: south, center and north.

The southern belt will cover the regions of Greater Accra, East, North West, Central and Volta, while the central belt includes the Ashanti, Bono, Bono regions. East and Oti, the northern belt covering the northern, Savannah and Northeast regions. , Upper East and Upper West Regions.

For the southern belt, the registration center will be the Hajj village in Accra, while those in the northern belt will have theirs at the Aliu Mahama stadium in Tamale.

The center for the intermediate sector will be communicated later after further consultations with Hajj agents.
