National Democratic National Congress (NDP) organizer Joshua Hamidu Akamba said some influential people in the country "secretly spend money" to make former president John Dramani Mahama unpopular.
He added that the NDC had been informed of the plot to frustrate the former president before the 2020 elections.
Speak on NEAT FM the morning show "Ghana Montie", Akamba expressed optimism about Mahama's victory in the next presidential election.
To him, "Mahama is now the choice of the people and a threat to President Nana Addo."
