Isaac Asiamah Doping Isaac Asiamah, Minister of Youth and Sports

Minister of Youth and Sports Isaac Asiamah said his team was involving the Ghana Football Federation's Standardization Committee on paying bonuses to Ghana's junior national teams.

The payment of bonuses to national footballers under the age of 17, in particular, has raised questions, the critics insisting on giving money to young footballers at such a young age arouses a mentality of law.

Asiamah says that if young players are to earn money in this sport, they must also be imbued with the spirit of volunteerism and sacrifice for the common good, especially towards their country.

Asiamah told the Public Accounts Committee: "We are working with the Standards Committee on some of these commitments. As a country, we should consider providing players under the age of 17 with scholarships or scholarship support as a reward. "

"The decision will soon be made on the future of these allowances, bonuses and payments to our junior teams.

"We need to seriously consider these things in order to incorporate a sense of volunteerism.
