Kofi Kingston Responds to Billy Graham's "Superstar" Tips on Steroids

Former WWWF Champion and WWE member "Superstar" Billy Graham made headlines a few days after WrestleMania 35 when he urged WWE's new champion, Kofi Kingston, to start taking steroids.

"Congratulations to Kofi for winning the most important title in the history of professional wrestling … sorry guys from the NWA … Notice the word" Heavyweight "in his title … so my man, I urge you to start making steroids and add about 50 pounds of solid muscle to your champion body, "Graham wrote on his personal Facebook.

"Vince will be fond of it, honestly.In fact, he would rather be satisfied with the muscle transformation because I predict that you, young man, will have the longest WWE champion career in modern history. Then, in a short time, you will be red and the fans celebrate your victory, your 2 former partners in the crime, [Big] E and [Xavier] Woods becomes jealous and inflamed. In my day, there would be blood on this double cross, but God forbid … not now. You then have Daniel Bryan for the covers and your two former partners as opponents. "

Kingston did not initially respond to the strange comments, but in a new interview with Newsweek He gave his answer to Graham's message, along with some other critics baderting that he should not be a champion.

"I've heard many things in the vineyard," Kingston said. "Honestly, I did not see them myself [his comments]. People can say what they want. But as long as they turn on the television, they will see me as a champion. It's really all that matters and I do not comment on people's opinions. People have the right to have their own opinion on what a WWE Champion should be, but the fact is that I am the WWE Champion and that's a fact. That's what it is. "

By beating Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35, Kingston became the first WWE champion of African descent in the history of the company. Given that he, Xavier Woods and Big E have not all appeared in Monday Night Raw this week, it seems that The New Day remains united on SmackDown Live during this year's Superstar Shake-up.
