Physicians hail breakthrough in emergency treatment of children with severe seizures – April 18, 2019

A New Zealand-Australian historical study found that the combination of two drugs reduced the number of children requiring intensive care.

Stuart Dalziel, a professor at the University of Auckland, said that up to 5% of affected children die as a result of a crisis.

He said the research had dramatically improved the treatment of severe seizures and increased the chances of faster healing.
