The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set 18 May 2019 election of members of the regional executive for the new regions.

He added that the delegates conference would be held simultaneously on May 18, 2019 in the Oti, Northwest, Bono-East, Ahafo, Savannah and Northeast regions in order to ensure 39 to elect persons to fill vacant regional leadership positions, subject to the rules, regulations and guidelines of the festival.

He explained that the conference would be attended by the delegates specified in Article 9 (25) of the NPP Constitution, which includes all members of the regional executive committee of the region, all members of the parliament of the region and all members of the constituency executive committee. He indicated that the Regional Elections Committee (ERC) would consist of a national representative appointed by the National Steering Committee, which should be composed of the president, a regional representative and a representative appointed by the regional council of elders.

Mr. Boadu indicated that candidates wishing to participate in the regional executive elections should pay the chairman of the regional elections committee a non-refundable nomination fee of 1,000 GH ¢ for the post of president and 500 GH ¢ for other positions.

Mr. Boadu stated that the meetings of the Regional Special Executive Committee would be conducted in strict accordance with Article 9 (24) of the Party Constitution which states that "any vacancy that may arise for any reason whatsoever members of the regional executive committee will be filled at the earliest "case of the regional president by the first regional vice president; in the case of the 1st vice-president by the second regional president and in the case of the regional secretary and the treasurer by the election of the Regional Executive Committee of another responsible person who will occupy it.

Mr. Boadu added that special meetings of the Regional Executive Committee would be under the supervision of a national representative.
