The iconic red stripe marks the return to the fine-stripe design first used in 1982
Liverpool has released its new kit for the 2019/20 season.
With a drawing celebrating 100 years of one of the most talented leaders of red and English footballers – Bob Paisley OBE – the band sees the return of the stripes in the jersey of the Reds.
Introduced for the first time in 1982/83 (the first season of Paisley), the pinstripes aim to sum up the spirit of Liverpool fans around the world.
Kenny McCallum, Managing Director of New Balance Football, said, "We are extremely excited and proud to unveil the New Liverpool Liverpool FC home kit.
"The incredible legacy of Bob Paisley was the ultimate inspiration for the 2019/20 band in what would have been its 100th year. We hope this design will bring success to the club, as was the case when Paisley was director. "
The most expensive defender in the world, Virgil van Dijk, said: "This year's home kit is incredibly solid. I can not wait to wear it as we continue to build on the club's illustrious history and success this season. "
I do not want to move away from @new balance . These Liverpool shirts over the past 2/3 years have been some of the most beautiful kits of my life!

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firminho and Van Dijk scored the scoring after Wednesday's 4-1 win in Porto allowed the last four games to be played between leaders of the Premier League and Barcelona.
The mouth-watering confrontation is likely to make Liverpool's upcoming encounters between Cardiff and Huddersfield a bit mundane in comparison.
The contract between New Balance and the Anfield club will expire at the end of next season. Nike, the US giant sportswear, would be in pole position to take over.
