In 2017, Markle worked with the World Vision organization. The Duchess traveled to Delhi and Mumbai where she advocated for women's education. After her trip, Markle wrote a thought piece for TIME magazine in which she discussed the need to change the discourse on menstrual and menstrual health around the world. She wrote,
