European Vaccination Week will be held in Kyrgyzstan from 24 to 30 April.

AKIPRESS.COM – Kyrgyzstan is participating in the European Global Infection Immunization Week from April 24 to 30, the Social Security Medical Assessment Committee in Bishkek announced on April 19.

The goal of the 2019 European Vaccination Week in Kyrgyzstan is to raise awareness of the benefits of vaccination and protection against disease.

Special attention will be given to a population group refusing to be vaccinated. European Immunization Week will be under the motto Vaccines Work.

Each year, the WHO European Region celebrates the European Immunization Week (EIW) to promote immunization as an essential element for disease prevention and the protection of life. This year, from April 24 to April 30, 2019, the campaign aims to raise public awareness of the benefits of vaccination and to celebrate the "heroes of the vaccine" who contribute in many ways to protecting lives through immunization.
