According to a report from Mynewsgh.com, Mohammed added: "Instead of serving their constituents, they rather intimidate them with their security escort."

In an interview with Kwame Adinkra on Pure FM, based in Kumasi, Mohammed said that some of them who had just entered parliament and had the privilege of becoming deputy ministers are moving with a police escort everywhere, except when they go to the bathroom.

He advised them to leave their drivers and security guards in Accra and go to their constituency. "Do not feel like Oga, but ordinary people so that their constituents can approach them and talk to them".

The lawmaker further stated that he could not afford to remain lazy in his job because if he naps for a second, he will lose his seat.

Some MPs from the region have had the opportunity to complain and blame the previous government for discriminating in awarding contracts for road construction in the Ashanti region over the eight years of its mandate.

But Mohammed said the roads in his constituency would not have been built if he had remained inactive and had not lobbied.
