Good Friday is a day when Christians commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus and his death on Calvary. He is observed in the context of the "Easter Triduum" (The three days of the death and resurrection of Christ) on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday,
The Catholic Church worldwide and members of many Christian denominations, including the Anglican, Eastern Orthodox, Lutheran, Methodist, Eastern Orthodox and Reformed traditions, celebrate Good Friday with fasting and religious services.
It is for this reason that the parishioners and members of the Saint Paul Kpehe Catholic Church, in Accra – New Town, celebrated their Friday service with The Pbadion of the Christ, a play that recalls and represents the suffering and death of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The congregation was led by the parish priest, Très Rév. Peter Rocky Hesse and his badistant, p. Elvis Mensah, including a retired priest, Bishop Agbenu.
The Pbadion of Christ played in some of the main streets of the Accra – New Town neighborhood to remind Christians and community members of the sorrow and suffering in which Jesus Christ died to purge us of our sins and bring us closer to God , our father .
The play is completed in the main chapel with closing ceremonies and prayers. The priest of the parish reminded the congregation of the importance of the event and the pillars of the Lenten period; fast, pray and give alms. Then, invite them to think about their lives.
He mentioned that "an unexamined life is not worth living." You should be in a mode of reflection and reflect on the life and death of the Lord Jesus Christ "Rev. Dr. Peter Hesse said.
