Good Friday is the greatest day for Christians – Bishop Heward-Mills

Accra, April 19, GNA –
Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, Founder and Presiding Bishop of the United States
Name of the Light House Churches group, said Good Friday is the largest
day for Christians.

"This day is the
bigger for Christians because Christ died to pay the price of our sins
bring us closer to God, he says.

Good Friday was
marked each year as an important day in the Christian calendar, observed
all over the world by all Christians.

He called all,
especially Christians, to reflect on the meaning of the day, ask
forgiveness of sins and amending with God.

Bishop Heward-Mills
was giving the Good Friday Message at a service held at Independence
Square in Accra, in the presence of hundreds of church members, who revered and
prayed to God for his blessings.

He preached the
the meaning of Easter for the lives of believers and urged Christians not to
make sure that the suffering and suffering of Jesus are in vain.

"The only way to show
your gratitude to God is to give your life to Jesus and to be a true newborn again. Yes
many of us who claimed to be Christians are true Christians, there would be
great change in Ghana, "said Bishop Heward-Mills.

"All who have already
made a mistake before, now have the opportunity, through the death of Jesus
Christ, turn around and ask for forgiveness and God will definitely forgive
their."

He said Christians,
especially those who are in politics, must defend Christ and live in the service of others
honestly and in all humility.

He reminded the society of
the importance of the Church, which has continued to intercede for the nations, while
politicians "come and go," declaring that only Jesus could save
humanity and not any political party.

Nicknamed the: "Good
Friday Miracle Service ", drew hundreds of faithful and spectators
who filled the place of independence at full capacity.

They prayed for the
well-being of the nation and asked God for his protection against accidents and
calamities that could delay progress, especially in the upcoming elections
year.

Bishop Heward-Mills
revealed that his mission, as a servant of God, was to build 2,000 churches
through Ghana to spread the Good News of Salvation to all of humanity.
