Don Ktu Baafi Friends donating bags of cement to Koforidua Technical University

The Koforidua Technical University (KTU) has received 100 bags of cement from the philanthropic organization Friends of Baafi, charged with promoting humanitarian issues in the municipality of New Juaben South.

The group is composed of people whose activities aim to promote the political interest of Mr. Michael Okyere Baafi, General Manager of the Free Zones Administration Council.

The donation was intended to support the improvement of KTU's infrastructure.

The group had previously donated an additional 100 bags of cement to support the development of Koforidua's school infrastructure for nurses and midwives.

A member of the Baafi Friends, Mr. Louis Appiah, told the Ghana News Agency that the donations would contribute to the promotion of education in the municipality.

Prof. Ms Smile Dzisi, Vice Chancellor of KTU, thanked the group for its kind gesture and stated that the donation was made at an opportune time, the institution embarking on a wall project completed at 30%.

Prof Dzisi said the project aimed to protect the institute's land from intruders who were preparing to appropriate part of their property.

She called on businesses, philanthropists and individuals to support this institution, as the government alone can not bear all the costs.
