KWAHU EASTER CONDOMS2 Observers at the paragliding site received at least five condoms each

More than 21,000 condoms are distributed to revelers during the Easter festival in Kwahu.

A non-governmental family health organization, Total Health, runs the "Hi Five" campaign to distribute condoms to partygoers.

In addition to free condoms, Unichem Ghana Limited also sold condoms to GHc 5.

A company official told Graphic Online that they had brought 3,000 condoms to Kwahu.

Mr. Silas Ashitey, Marketing Manager at Total Health in Kwahu, said the USAID-sponsored campaign focused on family planning.

He added that, apart from the paragliding site, the group would share more condoms on the site of the nocturnal jams.

"People need to be protected, but our ultimate goal is family planning," he said.

Condoms are made of latex or polyurethane. Used correctly, they are 98% effective in preventing badually transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancies.
