Pete Dunne wins the WWE UK title in Glasgow

A shocking heel ride brought to light an incredible night of action at the first NXT UK party in Glasgow.

The first trip to Scotland by the British brand WWE was highlighted by the long-awaited revenge between Pete Dunne and Walter at the WWE United Kingdom Championship.

The two men went to war a few weeks ago at NXT UK TakeOver New York, where the Austrian ended the Bruiserweight record record in an instant clbadic.

The second part of their rivalry was no different, the two men pushing each other to limit themselves once again, leaving the Glasgow crowd at the edge of the seats.

Just as Dunne looked about to regain his title on the first attempt, Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner – the European Union – made their presence felt, as Barthel hit Dunne with the British title.

This allowed the general of the apparatus to reach a powerful bomb for the victory.

Despite widespread support from their hometown and a succession of near-falls, the Glasgow duo has lived up to its quest for gold.

The Scottish fans were far behind their local favorites, mainly the Gallus trio, who were warmly welcomed in their respective matches.

Joe Coffey and Wolfgang participated in the other great development announced during the evening. NXT UK's deputy general manager Sid Scalia announced four qualifying matches to determine the four-way fatal match against Walter's number one contender in the UK title.

While Wolfie was too short for Dave Mastiff, The Iron King was successful against Flash Morgan Webster. Travis Banks and Jordan Devlin will join them for a four-man game on Saturday.
