The Sunday's Akwasidaekese will be preceded by a fitness run led by Otumfuo on Saturday, April 20, 2019.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is the 16th Asantehene, the traditional ruler of the Ashanti Kingdom in Ghana since April 26, 1999 until today.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is his direct successor to the founder of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu I.
Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was born on May 6, 1950 and named Nana Barima Kwaku Duah, the youngest of five children of Nana Afia Kobi Serwa Ampem II, Queen Mother of the Ashanti Kingdom.
His father, Nana Kwame Boakye-Dankwa, was originally from Kantinkyere in the Ashanti region and was also Duke of Brehyia of Asante. Nana Kwame Boakye-Dankwa died on January 1, 2002 in Kumasi, in the Ashanti region.
Osei Tutu was educated at "O" level at Sefwi Wiawso High School and Osei Kyeretwie High School (OKESS). He went to study accounting at the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) in Accra in 1971.
He then traveled to the UK to attend Kilburn Polytechnic in northwestern London to pursue accounting studies. He is a graduate in Philosophy of Undergraduate and Ph.D. in Philosophy, awarded at a ceremony at the Barbican Center on January 11, 2006.
