WYOMING, Mich. (AP) – A 5-year-old Michigan boy was thirsty for McDonald's, but his grandmother was sleeping. He called 911 and made a request.

According to WZZM-TV in Grand Rapids, Iziah Hall of Wyoming asked the sender, "Can you bring me a McDonald's?" Dispatcher Sara Kuberski said that she had told him no, but that she had contacted the police.

Wyoming police officer Dan Patterson said the April 14 petition made him laugh. He stopped at McDonald's to go to his home in the city of Iziah, in western Michigan.

Patterson says that he thought, "I'm moving past McDonald's to get going and I might as well bring him something." The officer says that the first thing the boy told him was: "My grandmother is going to be so angry, can you leave, do you like it?"
