Eight married women are under sentence of death in Nsawam's medium security prisons, it was revealed.
The women were behind bars for the crimes they committed against their husbands, said Martin Padi, chaplain of the Nsawam Medium Security Prison, Chief Superintendent of Prisons.
He made this revelation during the visit of this portal in prisons on Saturday.
Although he did not mention the specific crimes that they committed, the chaplain indicated that they were convicted not for theft or theft, but for having made wrong with the same men with whom they had replied "I do it" with the altar.
He also revealed that there were about 3,450 detainees in Nsawam Prisons. Some were considered convicts, convicts and defendants.
