Christians have been invited to change their minds about life by taking full advantage of the benefits of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Pastor DSP Moses Animah, pastor of the Pentecost Church, told the congregation of the International Pentecostal Worship Center in Kaneshie, Accra, that Christians must have a victorious attitude.

In his Easter message on Thursday, he explained, it is the result of the finished work of Jesus Christ, captured in his last words on the cross: "It's over."

These words recorded in John 19:28, 30 are rendered, "tetelestai" in Greek, a word that has inspired many Christian songs.

Explaining the Greek understanding of the word, the pastor of Mt. The Zion worship center, a branch of the official Kwashieman City Church, said the word was perfect. This time signifies a past action whose effect continues in the present and the future.

Telestai means "he has been finished and is still finished," he told a young congregation.

He said that the word pronounced aloud by Christ, as stated in Matthew 27:50, had a military connotation of victory in battle.

He explained that the content of victory meant victory over the power of sin, curse, sickness, and death.

Jesus, he said, told the Father that "My obedience is complete and perfect"

Through this obedience, Jesus finished eliminating God's wrath from man and also "finished striking Satan with a mortal blow."

"Now you and I are fighting at the point of victory … you are a winner … no matter the opposition," he said.

The life of a Christian should therefore be rooted in this knowledge that no matter what the believer encounters in life, the result is already decided.

"When you arrive on dry ground, it turns into a fertile ground, when you get to desert, it becomes fruitful. So, things that people reject, when you wear them, you will become fruitful, "he explained to the blessings of Abraham made available to believers all over the world by faith in Jesus Christ .

The pastor explained that the benefits of the finished works of Jesus Christ are accessible to whoever accepts him as his Lord and Savior.
