Corporal Elizabeth died at a prayer camp at Half Assini in Jomoro Municipality
A corpse of a woman in the heart of the Western Region, MyNewsGh.com has confirmed.
The deceased as well as being in the heart of the city of Asamankese district and currently on sick leave, had traveled to her home town.
Managers of the Adjazer Prayer Camp are currently being questioned by the police.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased woman has been deposited at Half Assini government hospital mortuary for preservation.
This health care service has been observed in the country by the health care service (GHS).
These patients are confined to 'prayer camps' and tortured under the guise of dispossessing them of evil spirits.
"Their fundamental human rights are abused at these chained, starved and badped. It will be shocked to you that they are sometimes chained and left under the weather, "an official stated.
Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Nsiah Asare observed that the dehumanizing and degrading conditions under which these patients are subjected to, are very disturbing stating that it smacks of a violation of their rights.
