A market fire again destroyed properties in Kumasi, this time wreaking havoc on the popular Asafo market.
On Friday, a similar fire destroyed stalls and other properties in the "Doctor Mensah" section of the Kumasi Central Market.
The Asafo market fire hit Saturday, destroying stores and leaving the concerned traders powerless when they count their losses.
Market fires are quite common in the metropolis of Kumasi.
Last year, about 50 stands were razed at Kumasi Central Market.
There is no official word yet about what caused the Asafo market.
However, some concerned traders believe that a shoemaker could let his electrical equipment run during the night, warm it up and catch it on fire.
