Dr. Daniel Wubah.jpeg Dr. Daniel Wubah is now President of the University of Millersville, Pennsylvania.

The Permanent Mission of Ghana in New York was represented by HE Martha Pobee, Ambbadador and Permanent Representative of the Presidential Inauguration of Daniel A. Wubah, Ghanaian Microbiologist, to the 15th Presidency of the University of Millersville, Pennsylvania ( United States), April 18, 2019.

The University of Millersville was founded in 1855 and has the distinction of being the first public university in Pennsylvania. It offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs in education and human services; Science and technology; Humanities and Social Sciences and Adult Learning.

Prior to his appointment to the presidency of the University, Mr. Wubah was Senior Vice President and then Senior Advisor to the President of Washington and Lee University. Mr. Wubah received a B.Sc. from the University of Cape Coast. Hons in Botany and Dip.Ed. in Education and earned his M.Sc. in Biology from the University of Akron, Ph.D. in Botany from the University of Georgia.

In private life, Dr. Wubah, also known as Nana Ofosu Peko III, is Safohene at Breman Asikuma, in central Ghana.

The colorful and festive investiture ceremony, which took place in the quad of the University of Millersville, drew a lot of people. A large number of Ghanaian friends and family members, dressed in beautiful clothes in kente, included the traditional chiefs of Breman Asikuma, Vice Chancellor of Cape Coast University and School. Old Boys secondary school of Accra Academy.

Once again, Ghana is proud to have one of its illustrious sons appointed to a position of choice in the United States of America. The Permanent Mission and Consulate General of Ghana wish Dr. Wubah every success in his new duties.
