Dr. Mensa Otabil, the General Superintendent of the Central International Church of the Gospel (ICGC) said Sunday that the resurrection of Jesus Christ was not a myth but a historical fact.

Dr. Otabil said that the empty tomb discovered by women proves that the resurrection of Christ is not a fabricated story.

According to him, the tomb has never become the message but the cross is and no one can dispute it.

He said that Christ's encounter with his disciples affirmed that he was resurrected because they bore with them the testimony of his resurrection, adding that their persecutions and atrocious deaths did not change their testimony.

The impact of the early church on people is the greatest attestation of his resurrection.

In his sermon on Easter Sunday at the CGIC's Temple of Christ on the theme "Christ our savior is risen," he said that the resurrection of Christ is the present reality since he lives his life through the Man, and noted that "even though his power is at work in us, human beings want to accomplish their successes and achievements alone.

"Christ touches the world through us, He heals through us, so as a believer, you can not rely on your own understanding, you can not give up in the face of challenges. No matter what happens, you can look to Christ and conquer. The resurrection is our reality and our end will be glorious. "

Pastor Otabil said that the resurrection was a living hope, just as there was a life beyond the womb and therefore a life beyond death.

He explained that death was not the end but the beginning, since humans escaped from the womb and came to earth, they would escape death for eternity.

He said that the resurrection was the eternal inheritance of every believer because God had prepared a glorious place for all the believers in heaven, adding that none of the most beautiful places on earth could be compared to heaven and that all who believe in him will live forever in his presence.
