Supporters discover what James Milner and Mohamed Salah did before the Liverpool penalty

Liverpool came back to the top of the Premier League after beating Cardiff on Sunday and we can expect the smiles to return to Merseyside.

But a little while before James Milner can make sure of the three points, it's not surprising that everything was crazy in the Reds camp at Cardiff City Stadium.

Mo Salah had just been thrown to the ground by Bluebird defenseman Sean Morrison in a motion that Neil Warnock unfairly equated with Olympic diver Tom Daley.

The Egyptian went up and tracked the balloon with the intention of putting it on the carpet and converting it.

But he seemed to have forgotten that Milner had entered the field less than five minutes earlier – replacing Fabinho, who had just come on the field himself before suffering a head blow.

Salah, who's mission is to be the winner of the Premier League Premier League for a second consecutive season and is currently at 19 notches, stared at Milner as he was picking up the ball.

The former English international is the designated Reds' penalty taker but, since he won the foul, Salah believed he believed it was his chance.

Milner seemed to try to explain that he was taking Liverpool's penalties by taking the ball out of the hands of the former superstar of Rome.

Salah, who missed three of his 13 career penalties – including one against the Reds against Huddersfield last season, turned his head, seemingly angry, before Milner jumped in front of Neil Etheridge.

Milner then ran to celebrate – with a weird cane move.

He revealed the motive for the celebration after the match saying: "Virgil [van Dijk] I've given a lot of sticks to be old, "said Milner.

"So it was just one for him really."

But the incident between Milner and Salah has divided fans on social networks.

Mel said: "I can not believe that some Liverpool fans are defending Salah Tryna Nick Milner's pen."

Dijkinho added, "Salah has to praise his personality.Everything has been centered on him for 18 months.The team must come first and it's a good decision."

Callum tweeted, "I know I'm alone, but I think personally @MoSalah should have taken this trouble. Discuss?"
