The Red Devils were blown away at Goodison Park, much to the delight of the Toffees boss
Marco Silva called Everton "the best team on the pitch since the first minute" in Manchester United's 4-0 defeat on Sunday.
The Toffees were in a sublime form to sweep a grim side of the Red Devils at Goodison Park, with Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott all on target.
It was Everton's biggest win over United in the Premier League and his boss, Silva, was delighted with his full display.
Publisher's choice
"It was a very good performance and we were the best team on the pitch since the first minute," he said at a press conference after the match.
"We had good times too, good football, good quality, we were a solid team without a ball.
"Even with the quick goal we scored, we kept pressing them, never giving them the chance to feel comfortable on the pitch.
"In this way, you can keep clean sheets against this kind of teams and make them feel uncomfortable on the pitch and give a quiet afternoon to our goalie."

Everton had a poor record against the "big six" in the Premier League before beating Chelsea 2-0 at Goodison Park last month.
The victories over Arsenal and United then followed and Silva says it's incumbent on ensuring that these victories become the norm.
"It's not about the next [season]we have to keep looking for this season, we have our goal to achieve, "he added to the question of what victory would do for the confidence of the next term.
"Since the first day, we have not changed our goal, we must continue to fight to prove our quality in every game.

"Before Chelsea, we had not won our last 26 games against this type of team, and I told you here at this press conference that you were asking what that meant. I said was not much [games without a win again] against these teams.
"It is important for us to keep this race, to finish the season in a good place, it will be very good for us to prepare next season but we have too many things for which we have to continue fighting this season to start talk about the next. "
The result saw Everton climb to seventh place, having finished eighth last season.
