Kaz Crossley of Love Island revealed that competitors were using "racist accents" on Love Island as a tactic to prevent private conversations from spreading across screens.

Kaz said that his fellow reality TV crews planned to use foreign accents to communicate in secret so that producers do not broadcast their conversations.

Kaz recently told the Cambridge Union: "You knew what they could show or not – as they could not say a lot of expletives, big words or if you were talking about racist jokes, nothing this genre.

"So sometimes, and we got into trouble for that, if you talk with an accent and say what you meant, then you knew they would never show it because they do not did not want to offend people.

Kaz, who broke up with Josh Denzel in January after unleashing a love story in the series, said that they even knew what accents they could use.

MailOnline has contacted a Love Island spokesperson for comments.

That comes as former Love Island star, Theo Campbell, made a staggering revelation on the set of the reality show.

Theo, 27, said the producers were walking around the villa all day and deciding whom people could and could not talk to.
