Ghana was one of the main starting points for the transatlantic slave trade in West Africa.

The government has launched a campaign to reach the descendants of those Africans who have been forced to leave their country.

The year 2019 has been named "Year of return".

Several hundred people are already living in Ghana, many of whom are African-Americans.

The program is prepared by Patrick Lovett and James Vasina.
