QUETTA: A three-day campaign against poliovirus will be launched Monday through Baluchistan.
Baluchistan Emergency Operations Center coordinator Rashid Razzaq said all preparations were complete to administer the polio vaccine and vitamin A to 2.4 million children under 10 years old. five years.
He added that 8886 mobile teams, 952 fixed teams and 951 transit teams have been deployed in 33 districts of the province to ensure that all children receive drops of polio.

Four new cases of poliomyelitis were reported this year in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one in Sindh and one in Punjab.
"It is admirable to note that with the efforts of our front-line workers, no cases have been reported in the districts of the Quetta, Pishin and Killa Abdullah polio reservoir, but the transboundary movement and the the rest of the country have kept the risk very high, "said Razzaq.
