(Reuters) – The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported on Monday https://www.cdc.gov/measles/cases-outbreaks.html 71 more cases of measles in the past week since April 12th.

From January 1 to April 19, 626 individual cases of measles were confirmed in 22 states, the second highest number of cases reported in the United States since the elimination of the disease in 2000, the health agency said.

The CDC reported 555 cases in 20 states between 1 January and 11 April.
