Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia
Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia left Wednesday Accra for Oxford, UK, to speak at a lecture series at Oxford University in honor of the famous British development economist Sir Paul Collier.
Professor Collier has been Professor of Economics and Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government and has also been Director of the Center for International Growth.
This renowned economist was also director of the Center for the Study of African Economies and faculty member of St. Antony's College of Oxford.
Professor Collier was Senior Advisor to the Blair Commission for Africa and led the Development Research Group at the World Bank from 1998 to 2003.
Mr. Frank Agyei-Twum, Communication Manager at the Vice President's Office, said Dr. Bawumia would be back in Accra on Saturday, April 27th.
