Murtala Mohammed, former deputy minister of trade and industry, has described as false the action of the Minister for Parity, Children and Social Protection on the three girls kidnapped by Takoradi.

Cynthia Morrison was at the home of Priscilla Mantsebea Koranchie, a 15-year-old student at Sekondi College, who was kidnapped on December 21, 2018 in Nkroful junction.

During the visit, the Minister of Gender badured that the girls were alive and would be brought back to their parents. She would have been moved and shed tears during her visit.

But Mr. Murtala thinks the minister was just pouring out what he called "crocodile tears", wondering what happened to the promise made to families to reunite with the girls.

"These girls disappeared and the police never even had many interactions with the family. You have the minister of gender who has traveled to shed tears of crocodile. She went [and] met the families and told them that they were going to have their children very soon, what forced her to do that? He asked.

According to the former member of Parliament, the gender minister was not allowed to shed tears and sympathize with the families of the victims when the police did not inform them of the state of affairs.

"Three months to four months, no one has heard of it. On what basis did the Minister of State make these promises? ", He reiterated his previous question.

Mr. Murtala also questioned the competence of COP Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service, who announced 23 days ago that the girls had been found.

He wants the COP Addo-Danquah to explain why it is releasing information that is slow to materialize.

"The IDC should tell us why it made this statement. Was this done to please the political apparatchik?

"Now you have a CID leader who is not fit to be there, I talked about this program that this woman was not fit to be a CID [boss but] people thought I hated the woman, why? It's a woman who was filmed to film crimes. "

At the same time, the police denied media reports that the girls were rescued from the kidnappers.
