The National Authority of Identification (NIA) will begin the exercise of mbad registration and issuance of cards in Ghana in the Greater Accra region from Monday, April 29, 2019.

The exercise is expected to end on Saturday, July 6, 2019.

That's what NIA President Prof. Ken Attafuah said at a press conference in Accra on Thursday, April 25, 2019, reports Caroline Boateng.

The mbad registration exercise will take place in the western area of ​​Accra, which includes Weija Gbawe, Ga West, Ga Central, Ga South and Ablekuma.

Registration is daily from 7am to 5pm.

The main requirements for an individual to register are:

1. Pbadport (valid)
2. Birth certificate.
One or the other qualifies to register.

According to the NIA, swearing commissioners will be present in the registration centers so that those who do not possess any of the above documents are treated.

Required: numeric address. Download Ghana Post GPS on your phone and enter the address at the door of your residence.

Secondary requirements: –

1. Driving license
2. Elector's identifier
3. SSNIT card
4. Health insurance
5. Tax Identification Number (TIN) (if you have any)
6. House number (if available)

The originals of all documents are necessary.

The NIA explained that if anyone intended to use a birth certificate or pbadport, the same name would be used for the Ghana map, unless an official newspaper does not prove the opposite.

Again, any change of name or date of birth should be supported by a gazette.

For the respondent, you need a family member who has already registered OR two people who have already registered. They must be present with their cards to support their registration.
