Deputy Secretary General of the NPP, Nana Obiri Boahen
Deputy Secretary General of the ruling party, the new patriotic party [NPP], Nana Obiri Boahen says whatever his position in the ruling party – he has some respect for the Democratic National Congress [NDC].
According to him, he will not hesitate to tell them the "bitter truth" when the need will make him feel it.
"I respect the NDC as a party, I will not insult them, but I do not fear them," he said in an interview for the Ghana morning show of the NEAT FM group, Ghana Montie.
Nana Obiri Boahen discussed NDC's latest press conference entitled "Moment of Truth" to highlight some misunderstandings in President Akufo-Addo's fight against illegal mining, locally known as Galamsey.
He praised the approach that he believes will keep the NDC in the opposition, but will not give them power in the 2020 elections.
For him, their series "Moment of Truth" should rather be renamed "Moment of Lies".
