26, GNA – Winneba court sentenced unemployed man for 24 years
to one year in prison for illegal entry and possession of instruments
intended for illegal purposes on a place.
The court chaired
Isaac Oheneba-Kufour, convicted, Shaibu Suleman, who pleaded guilty
to the charges on his own plea.
Prosecution, detective
The police inspector, Ms. Bernice Wie, told the court that the complainant, Ms.
Theodora Osei-wusu lives in a fenced house in Gyeteykrom near Winneba, while
Suleman also lives in Dwenwoho, in the suburbs of Agona Swedru.
The Prosecution has said
on April 14 of this year at approximately 9:20 am, while the complainant was very busy
cooking in the kitchen, she saw the accused carrying a bag in the back.

According to
pursuit, fear has seized Ms. Osei-wusu because the main entrance of the house
was secure and her screams for asking Shaibu's mission in her house drew a

The complainant then
informed some people in the area and gave them a living description of the accused
Shortly after, the cab driver saw Suleman at Winneba Junction
on this description and rushed to Ms. Osei-wusu to inform her.
The prosecution said
the lady accompanied the witness to the spot where he spotted Suleman and he was
arrested and sent to the police station in Winneba where, when his bag was
a car, a pair of pliers and a screwdriver were found.
The Prosecution has said
during the interrogation, Suleman admitted that he had gone home to steal and
pleaded for forgiveness.
