Takoradi's thief, Rose Mawusi Fiaku, was sentenced to five years in prison with hard labor.

Rose was found guilty after abducting a one – year – old baby in the Takoradi market in the western region.

At the last hearing, the court required the suspect to undergo a test after his mother revealed that she was not in good mental health.

However, Rose pleaded guilty to the offense and the case chaired by Her Ladyship, Abena Akyin Doku, pronounced her sentence after the result of the hospital.

It will be recalled that on March 25, Francis Mawusi Ahiabenu, a year, was rescued by the team from the Western Regional Region of SWAT after his abduction at the Takoradi market.

The baby was stolen from her mother while she was occupying market customers.

The woman involved in the abduction had an accomplice, a man considered to be a Togolese identified as Lawson Lartey.

According to eyewitnesses, a CCTV system used by the bank captured the kidnapper who stole the baby.
