The NDC promises to bring back the "Queen of Galamsey" … but Kweku Baako is not in agreement | Policy

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) opposition will extradite Aisha Huang, known as "Galamsey Queen", to comply with the country's laws.

The deputy of the electoral district of North Tongu, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, revealed it.

The former deputy minister of information who was talking about JoyFM & # 39;The Newsfile program on Saturday said the party had "decided to call Aisha Huang to be sued", and he had obtained "permission" from the former president and flag bearer of his party, John Dramani Mahama, to make it public.

"It will be done when they gain power in 2020,he said.

"I have permission from my party's leadership to announce that a future NDC government will initiate extradition processes for Aisha Huang to be brought back to face our laws; to be sued in Ghana and I have the full support of our flag bearer to make this announcement. We will continue " he added further.

Some critics who have badyzed the statement of the prime minister have said that his comment should be distinguished because it was not the official position of the government.

However, Okudjeto Ablakwa says that Mr Osafo Maafo's comment could be a secret that has been "let out of the bag".

"… that is why I believe that the statement of Osafo Maafo is not a blunder. it's only highlighted what's obvious … it's a government behavior … a government position … maybe Osafo was not supposed to let the cat go out from his bag. We now have the statement of the senior minister standing ".

According to him, "We cherish all relations with China …. (but in China) they apply their laws; they do not spare … economic considerations should not stop you from enforcing your laws "

"… We hear that in addition to its illegal mining, there is also the issue of murder and other offenses or more; we do not want to give the impression that Ghana is a banana republic, you can enter and kill our people … " he added.

Impossible mission

Kweku Baako Jnr, editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, said the NDC's quest to bring back the "Queen of Galamsey," if she takes office, is a "impossible mission"
