Mauricio Pochettino hinted that Harry Kane might well be qualified for the Champions League final if Tottenham was to defeat Ajax in the last four stages.
The English captain suffered an ankle injury in the Spurs quarter-final clash with Manchester City, who at the time seemed to be eliminating him from the competition for the rest of the season.
Pochettino, however, let hope that his star could return from the injury in time for a potential appearance at Wanda Metropolitano, if Tottenham managed so far.

"We will see, Yesterday, we are going to talk, we will see what happens," Pochettino said on Saturday as to whether Kane would be able to return by the end of the season.
"If you tell me that he'll be available for the return leg to Ajax or the last [Premier League] game against Everton, I do not know.
"Of course, it's going to be tough, if we can beat Ajax and be in the final on June 1, then maybe yes, we were talking about it yesterday, we'll see."
Tottenham's preparations for the first leg in Tuesday's semifinal were far from perfect. They lost 1-0 at home to West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.

In the absence of Kane, Pochettino started the match with a front line composed of Heung-min Son and Lucas Moura, but the duo was regularly thwarted by Hammers player Lukasz Fabianski.
Tottenham's championship defeat opened the door for Arsenal and Chelsea to narrow the gap in the race to rank among the top four, while Manchester United, who will face Maurizio Sarri's side on Sunday, also remains in the game.

However, the Spurs will now focus on the Champions League and their first semifinal in the European elite competition.
The North London club beat Borussia Dortmund and City in the round of 16 to qualify for the last four. Ajax eliminated Real Madrid and Juventus on the road to the semi-finals.
The Dutch played their match against Eredivisie against Vitesse on Tuesday night, to give more time to the training of Amsterdam to prepare for their trip to London midweek.
