Today's World Indigenous Property Day under the theme (Achieving Gold: Intellectual Property and Sports) was intended to highlight and strengthen the financial model for all sporting events around the world.

Speaking at the International Day of International Property organized in collaboration with the Registrar General at the Yiri Lodge of the University of Ghana, Mr. Kwame Baah Mensah, on behalf of the Minister, badured Ghanaians of its full support and commitment to sports development in Ghana in the context of intellectual property.

In her speech, Grace Issahaque, Deputy Director General of the Registrar General, said on behalf of the Director that the process of broadcasting sports events to fans around the world and the investments they require reward broadcasters with a right to finance the show.
