The Lucifer Season 4 trailer was unveiled earlier this week and showed the Hell Lord battling Eve (played by Inbar Lavi).
The two men had had a relationship in the past, but Lucifer (Tom Ellis) recently killed her son Cain and fans suspect she's back for revenge.
And the fans who shot the trailer think that Eve left traces to Lucifer who teases his fall.
A Reddit user, blanchedevereaux40, commented, "Looking at the trailer for the nth time, I just noticed that Eve is sitting next to a bowl of green apples on her first visit to the club.
"It's at: 50, and I'm pretty sure it's before she sees Lucifer (she's also holding an Appletini).
"Does this mean that someone (like Maze ???) brought it back on purpose? WTF ?? !! "
Other fans seemed to agree because they had also noticed that apples were an important part of the trailer.
One of them replied, "It may be that there is something to the apples. They appear several times, even in the trailer.
"What I can not understand though, is how Eve is there? In his original body too (how would Lucifer have otherwise recognized)?
Another added: "There was also a green apple when Chloe told Lucifer that she was not sure she could accept it.
"The shot cut to the apple as it left. I can not help but think that it is important.
While many think that apples refer to problems between Eve and Lucifer, it is simply thought that there is a reference to original sin.
They wrote, "I think apples are a pretty obvious reference to original sin (Eve eats the apple), so unless it's sarcasm, I do not understand."
After the trailer fell, fans quickly noticed that they thought that Eve was hiding a secret from Lucifer.
And, to add to the suspense of the new season, Maze star Lesley-Ann Brandt, teasing fans, will "die" during the final.
Addressing BriefTake, she said, "I think the fans will die from here the final.
"I want to say that the humor is there and that it becomes much more cheeky and sometimes dark, more than we were allowed to participate in a network show before.
"But I'm really excited because it's a job I'm very proud of and I'm happy for our writers to have included it.
"I'm so glad they finally get to watch it because you're enjoying the roller coaster."
Lucifer season 4 will be published on Netflix on May 8th.
