This is undoubtedly the last feat of the marathoner's story. His two hours, two minutes and 38 seconds is the second fastest marathon of all time.
The rest of the pack simply could not stand the pace while Kipchoge put his foot halfway, then again with a little over a mile to go.
His time was slightly below his world record of two hours, one minute and 39 seconds – which he had established at the Berlin Marathon in 2018.
