Too tired of a long day? Too painful of yesterday's training? We all found – sometimes legitimate – excuses for giving up a sweat session at some point. But while many of our reasons for not attending a clbad or gym session seem credible, we sometimes use an excuse like a dog eating my homework.

A new survey conducted for Peerfit focused directly on the most elaborate apology given by customers for skipping the gym, and you bet that the fitness community has been creative.

The typical excuses – being too tired, too hot, too cold or eating too recently – were all at the top of the list and they are quite reasonable. This may be one of the reasons why we had canceled our courses before.

Lack of fun, excessive sweating or lack of results after workouts were also on the list. It's all ways to lose our motivation to continue having a healthy plan.

But as for the extra-left excuses, we were not disappointed. Here are the wildest excuses of the poll:

  • My cat is on fire
  • My pancreas hurts
  • My basement is flooded (this was not the case)
  • I called my instructor and told him I had to put my son's bike on duty
  • I have exercised in my dreams
  • I broke my little finger

Yes, pain is definitely a reason not to follow a workout. Injury management and prevention should be an integral part of our wellness plan.

But on the other hand, those who managed to defend themselves by their apologies and their near-disappeared confessed that they felt much better after sweat. And when it comes to the responsibility and the badurance that you will actually get to the clbad you have reserved, by far the best way to work better is with a partner.

So grab your fitness buddy, plan the workout together and do not let the other person relax. It could be the secret to getting rid of these wacky excuses once and for all.
