Leicester 3-0 Arsenal

Leicester unleashed the Super Sunday against Arsenal, consisting of 10 men, winning 3-0 and sentencing the Gunners to a third consecutive loss in the league.

Arsenal was indebted to goalkeeper Bernd Leno, while Leicester had already had 72 percent possession possession when Ainsley Maitland-Niles had been sacked for a second yellow card (36) following his late tackle on James Maddison.

Yuri Tielemans made the extra man count by taking the Foxes lead (59) before Jamie Vardy forced himself to a late double (86 & 90 + 5).

Arsenal remain fifth ahead of Manchester United and Chelsea shock later Super Sunday.

Leno was called early in action, striking Wilfried Ndidi's head brightly that was heading to the top corner – and that was a foretaste of the future.

However, things could have been different if Alex Iwobi had not shot straight at Kasper Schmeichel's legs with only the goalkeeper beating on 35 minutes.

A minute later, Maitland-Niles was fired for the first time in her career.

Already on a booking for his check on Ben Chilwell, the half-wing stumbled and then attempted to recover by flying into a late challenge on Maddison. A red card followed.

Unai Emery felt that the expulsion of Ainsley Maitland-Niles had been a difficult decision to make and had had a considerable impact on the match since Arsenal had tilted 3-0 to Leicester.

Arsenal resisted the Foxes push until 59 minutes, when Maddison managed to produce a high quality ball that Tielemans pitched in goal.

Leno was again called in action to quickly deny Ricardo Pereira and Harvey Barnes.

Arsenal was still in the game, but Vardy wiped out any hope of recovery after four minutes. The striker engulfed Schmeichel's kick and scored six meters after his lob over Leno hit the bar.

Vardy – who was about to sign for Arsenal under the direction of Arsene Wenger – then scored eight goals in nine games in eight games against the Gunners by beating the Pereira center in injury time.

Maitland-Niles was he unlucky?

Sky sports expert Graeme Souness "No complaints at the first reservation." He obstructs, he raises his left arm and catches him.

It was a close match between Leicester midfielder and Leno, who made nine saves, including three world-clbad, and ordered his box with great authority.

The Belgian was a very clever acquisition after his loan transfer from Monaco in January. Tielemans himself has not ruled out extending his stay in Leicester beyond the end of the season. The club should put this potential deal at the top of its summer transfer task list.
