NOTE: Contains mahoosive spoilers for Game Of Thrones season eight, episode three: 'The Long Night'
You can take a breath now, friends. The Battle of Winterfell is officially over. The Night King and his army of undead are no more.
It was a brutal struggle, in which scores of innocents died, and it was brought to life by Arya Stark, with a little help from her sword-wielding friends (and Melisandre ), delivered the decisive blow.
Once underestimated as a mere girl, the young Stark drove her Valyrian steel into the Night King and shattered into a million pieces. The icy threat, which is defeated.

But how, exactly, did Arya manage to do what Jon Snow and many others failed to do? How did she manage to sneak up on the kingpin and put a stop to her endless night?
We all know she is an extraordinary human being, and Melisandre had previously said that she would shut many eyes – "Brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes" we thought.
There is a moment, right before the night King is about to kill Bran, when the camera goes to the White Walkers standing behind him, who then turns their head to the side.
It's a tiny detail – it might have been paying attention to you – it might have been quite insignificant. But then again, is anything on GoT done without significant reason?

We know that Arya's training under the guidance of her train mentor, badbadin Jaqen H'ghar, taught her how to successfully wear the faces of others.
So, is that what happened there? Did Arya disguise herself as a White Walker so that she could sneak into the Godswood entirely undetected and then, when the time was right, slay the head zombie?
A lot of people are convinced that they are so slippery and very poor.
Then again, the Night King could have been so focused on Bran that he had tuned out everything else around him. It was the moment he had been building for some time, so it's understandable. And by that point, he thought that he had won.
There's every chance that the other White Walker, by moving his head, had picked up on Arya's presence. But by then it was too late. She was already mid-air and the Night King had turned her face around.
But after all that we have suffered, we can not accept that one more time.
