Excessive stress can have a negative effect on your body, your mood and your behavior, from headaches to anxiety, fatigue and irritability. Dr. Hariprasad, expert in Ayurveda at Himalaya Drug, shares natural methods to cope with stress:

According to the results published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, people with both risk factors were three times more likely to die as a result of cardiovascular disease.

Individuals with work-related stress alone were 1.6 times more likely, while those with little sleep were 1.8 times more likely to be at risk, the study said.

In the study, work stress was defined as work with high demand and poorly controlled – for example when an employer wants to get results but refuses to make decisions.

"If you have high requirements, but also have significant control, in other words, you can make decisions, it can even be good for your health," Ladwig said.

"But being stuck in a pressure situation that you have no power to change is harmful," added Ladwig.
