Danny Murphy has urged Manchester United to try to attract N'Golo Kante to Old Trafford this summer with his favorite role.
The former Liverpool midfielder believes United could try to convince the French star to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men by promising to play the role of midfielder.
Kante was lined up for Chelsea in the 1-1 draw with United at Old Trafford yesterday and played a more advanced central role than he had played last season under Antonio Conte.
This is not unusual for Kante. In fact, his 35 Premier League matches under Maurizio Sarri have been more advanced and Jorginho has entrusted the role of the midfielder to the depths.
The Italian coach has been criticized this season for consistently choosing the former Napoli player, Jorginho, rather than Kante, who plays this role for France.
The sun says that this 28-year-old man, under contract until 2023, "rumored to be unhappy" and Murphy thinks that United should test the water.
"I'm not convinced that N'Golo Kante can be happy to play out of position in Chelsea, even if he does not seem to be a boy who makes a fuss," Murphy wrote in his latest column Daily mail.
"Do what you can to see if Chelsea would be tempted by a £ 80 million tax.
"Try to find out if Kante would like to play in front of 76,000 spectators every week as the undisputed midfielder of No. 1."
United boss Gunnar Solskjaer is planning a major redesign of his team this summer. Ander Herrera midfielders are about to change, while the future of Juan Mata is far from badured and the speculation between Paul Pogba and Real Madrid shows no signs of weakness.
