The Eastern Region Police Command said Saturday's attack in the Afram Plains was not an abduction as claimed by local natives.
The police, the navy and the anti-human trafficking unit of the armed forces visited the Zikpo community and took nine men and seven child victims of trafficking and used for dangerous plains of Afram.
Ebenezer Tetteh DSP of the Regional Police, PRO, said the operation was deliberate to rescue children whose lives were in danger.
